Patients often say they are given a prescription and a follow-up appointment, that doctors simply prescribe drugs. But what else can be offered? Esther brings the voice of thousands of people with Parkinson’s and their care partners, expressed to her daily on-line. As a former Healthcare Quality Director, she knows and understands the difficult pressures faced by healthcare providers. A patients care team can provide education, understanding, connections to resources and community. It doesn’t have to be this hard. She is also happy to answer questions about the powerful tool that social media is for healthcare. Don’t be afraid to harness social media for good.
