As neurodegenerative diseases progress, the needs of patients and caregivers evolve, and they require increasing support. Social workers play a critical role in managing chronic neurological diseases, assisting patients and their families with emotional and social issues, connecting them to community resources, and helping plan care. This session will review levels of care, payment and coverage, and when to engage services and supports at each disease stage.
