About me
Anissa Mitchell, LCSW obtained her Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working as a medical social worker in various settings. In 2010, Anissa began working exclusively with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders running an outreach center in Orlando, FL. Anissa has developed and facilitated various groups, wellness, and educational programs for persons with Parkinson’s and their family members and has a special interest in the needs of care partners. In 2020 Anissa joined PMD Alliance and serves as Chief Program officer overseeing programs and content for the organization.
