About me
Christa Cooper, PhD, PA-C, MPH, is a physician assistant/associate and clinical researcher at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, IL. With over eight years of experience at a Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) Center of Excellence, Dr. Cooper has provided care to individuals and families affected by Huntington’s disease (HD). She is a credentialed investigator with the Huntington Study Group and is dedicated to advancing HD research to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Cooper’s interest in HD began in 2006, during her undergraduate studies in neuroscience at Central Michigan University, where she conducted two years of HD lab research. In November 2023, she earned her PhD, with her dissertation focusing on advance care planning in HD.
