About me
Dr. Martello earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He completed his neurology residency as well as his fellowship in movement disorders at University of Maryland Medical Center. This was after earning his bachelor’s degree with honors in biology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he was a research team member at Johns Hopkins/Kennedy Krieger Institute. He is now the movement disorders and focused ultrasound director at ChristianaCare and member of the American Academy of Neurology’s Quality Informatics subcommittee after serving on the quality measures and registry subcommittees for 10 years. He has published in both quality measures and Parkinson’s disease, including being an author on the most recent AAN guideline about early Parkinson’s Disease care. He is the first and only neurologist performing the focused ultrasound procedure without a neurosurgeon in the country.
