About me
Dan Irizarry, MD, is a board-certified family physician living in Orlando, Florida. After serving 26 years as an Army doctor, he retired from military service and, until 2023—the year he was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s Disease—practiced family medicine privately. Dan is the chief medical officer for a company that equips first responders with medical supplies and trauma simulation tools. He’s never let his diagnosis slow him down, staying deeply involved in work, music, and his Christian faith. Dan volunteers as a coordinator for Guitars for Vets, helping fellow veterans find healing through music, and serves as an ambassador for the Parkinson’s and Motor Disorder Alliance. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 30 years and are the proud parents of seven children.
