About me
William G. Ondo, MD is the Director of the Movement Disorder Clinic at Houston Methodist Hospital and Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical School and Texas A&M. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his internship and residency at UNC and Duke University, followed by a Movement Disorders fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ondo is board-certified in neurology and sleep medicine and has authored over 300 publications and four textbooks. He has led more than 100 clinical trials focused on Parkinson’s disease, tremor, restless legs syndrome, dystonia, and related conditions. He is a former Professor at UT Health and a past President of the Tremor Research Group. Dr. Ondo is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders. His current research emphasizes botulinum toxins and advanced therapies for movement disorders.
