Dr. Ramsey (Drew) Falconer is director of the Inova Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center in Fairfax, VA, where he is a movement disorder specialist. He is also an associate professor of neurology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Fairfax.
Dr. Falconer earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed his neurology residency and his movement disorder and neurorestoration fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital, which is designated as a Parkinson’s Center of Excellence, in Washington, DC. Dr. Falconer specializes in the advanced care of patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD), Huntington’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, tic disorders, and other movement disorders. He is board certified in psychiatry and neurology.
Dr. Falconer serves on the American Academy of Neurology Telehealth Subcommittee and Parkinson’s Foundation of the National Capital Area Medical Advisory Board, and he is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. He has coauthored publications, performed research, and has been an invited speaker for numerous lectures and presentations on deep brain stimulation, PD, essential tremor, and dementia. He is also a frequent consultant and contributor to physician/patient/workforce education.
